DND Mode: Block WhatsApp Calls Without Going Offline
February 16, 2026 · 2 min read
You're in the middle of posting a campaign and your phone won't stop ringing. Customers, subscribers, random numbers — everyone's calling. WhatsApp doesn't let you turn off calls without going offline entirely, so you're stuck choosing between getting work done and being available.
WASBOT's DND mode fixes this. Turn it on and every incoming call gets silently blocked. The caller sees a "missed call" — they don't know you blocked it. Your messages, groups, and status keep working like nothing happened.
Turning It On
From the Dashboard
Go to the Contacts page, find the Session Contact Settings section, and turn on the Block Calls toggle. Takes effect right away.
From WhatsApp
Send yourself:
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
dnd on | Block all incoming calls |
dnd off | Let calls through again |
dnd status | Check if DND is on or off |
Good To Know
- Works on all plans including the free trial
- Per-session — if you have multiple WhatsApp numbers, each one has its own DND setting
- Stays on until you turn it off, even if your session restarts
- Callers just see "missed call" — they have no idea DND is active
- Calls are blocked at the cloud level, so your phone doesn't even ring
When It's Useful
WhatsApp TV operators get constant calls from subscribers. Marketers get spam calls all day. DND lets you block all of it and only deal with messages — the stuff that actually matters.
Turn it on during work hours, turn it off when you're free. Or just leave it on all the time if you never want WhatsApp calls.
