Addon Sessions: Add Extra WhatsApp Numbers Without Upgrading

You're on Premium. You need 3 WhatsApp numbers. But Pro is N50,000/month and you don't need all the Pro features — you just need more sessions. That's what addon sessions are for.
What Are Addon Sessions?
Every WASBOT plan comes with a set number of WhatsApp sessions:
- Basic — 1 session
- Premium — 1 session
- Pro — 3 sessions
An addon session is an extra WhatsApp number on top of your plan's base allocation. Each addon session gets the same features and limits as your other sessions — same status limits, same group messaging limits, same contact auto-save. It's not a downgraded session. It's a full session at your tier's level.
Addon Pricing
Addon sessions are priced as a fraction of your plan cost. The higher your tier, the more addons you can have:

Volume discount: On Premium and Pro, if you add 4 or more addon sessions, you get 10% off the addon cost. Basic doesn't have a volume discount since the max is 2 addons.
When does upgrading make more sense? If you're on Basic with 2 addons, you're paying N15,000/month (N8,000 + N7,000) for 3 sessions with Basic-tier limits. Premium costs N20,000 but gives you much higher limits (3x group messages, 3.5x recipients) on every session. Run the numbers for your situation — the higher tier often pays for itself in what you can do with it.
How Billing Works for Addons
First Purchase — Prorated
When you add a session mid-billing cycle, you only pay for the remaining days. WASBOT calculates the charge based on how many days are left until your next renewal.
Example: You're on Premium (renews in 22 days). You add 1 addon session:
- Full addon price: N5,000/month
- Prorated: N5,000 x 22/30 = N3,666 charged today
- On your next renewal: N20,000 (Premium) + N5,000 (addon) = N25,000/month going forward
This means you never overpay for partial months. The first charge covers only the days remaining, and from the next renewal onward, the full addon cost is added to your subscription.
Renewal — Full Price
On every renewal after the first purchase, your total charge is:
Base plan + (addon rate x number of addons)
If you have Premium with 3 addon sessions: N20,000 + (N5,000 x 3) = N35,000/month
Removing Addons
When you remove addon sessions:
- Your sessions stay active until the next renewal date — you've already paid for them
- On renewal, the removed addons are no longer charged
- You choose exactly which sessions to remove from the "Manage Addons" dialog
No partial refunds on removal — you keep the session until the period you paid for ends.
How to Add or Remove Sessions
- Go to your Dashboard → Billing page
- Click Add Session to add an addon, or Manage Addons to remove
- You'll see the prorated cost before confirming
- If you have a card on file, the charge happens immediately
- If you don't have a card, you'll be prompted to add one (addon sessions require card billing)
Important: Addon sessions require a card on file for automatic billing. Bank transfer users need to add a card before purchasing addons.
What Each Addon Session Includes
Each addon session is a full session at your plan's tier level:

Every addon session operates independently — its own contacts, its own groups, its own status history. Connect a different WhatsApp number to each one.
What Happens If Your Subscription Expires
If your subscription expires or is cancelled:
- All addon sessions are deactivated along with your base sessions
- Sessions are disconnected and pods are shut down
- When you resubscribe, you'll need to re-purchase any addons you want
- Your addon session data (contacts, settings) is preserved in the database
Quick Answers
Do discount codes apply to addon purchases? No. Discount codes apply to plan subscriptions only, not addon session charges.
Can I move an addon session to a different plan? Addons are tied to your current tier. If you upgrade from Basic to Premium, your existing addons carry over at the new tier's addon rate.
What if I need more than the max addons? If you need more than 6 sessions on Premium or 10 on Pro, contact us about an Enterprise plan with custom session limits.
Can I add addons on the trial plan? No. Addon sessions are only available on paid plans (Basic, Premium, Pro).
